Der Hamburger Künstler AQUAGRINGO ist insbesondere für seine Aquarellmalereien bekannt. Auf diesen adaptiert er Bilder des öffentlichen Stadtraums, die meist durch Graffiti und Tags besetzt sind. Die sich ständig verändernden “Oberflächen” des Stadtraums werden so in seinen Aquarellen festgehalten und sind gleichzeitig bildnerische Zitate bekannter Streetart-Künstler und Crews wie 1UP, Moses oder 1010. Neben seinen Malereien arbeitet der Künstler auch plastisch, in dem er aus Betonelementen, Metall und Holz kleine Fassaden-, Zug- oder Auto-Modelle kreiert.
The Hamburg artist AQUAGRINGO is especially known for his watercolour paintings. On these he adapts images of public urban space, which are mostly occupied by graffiti and tags. The constantly changing "surfaces" of the urban space are thus captured in his watercolours and are at the same time pictorial quotations of well-known streetart artists and crews such as 1UP, Moses or 1010. In addition to his paintings, the artist also works sculpturally by creating small facades, train or car models from concrete elements, metal and wood.
